Search

Looking for a tab among many? Search for it in the switcher.

Search for a tab

  1. Open the switcher and click the Search tabs field in its toolbar. The switcher now stays open, even when you let go of Alt.
  2. Type a few letters. The switcher shows only the tabs whose title or address contains them. Capitalization doesn't matter, and the part of the title that matches is highlighted.
  3. Press Enter to open the first tab found. Or press ↓ to move into the results, then Enter to open the selected tab. A click on a tab opens it too.

When no tab matches, the switcher says “No tabs match your search.” Change what you typed, or press Esc to close the switcher.

The search covers only the tabs the switcher shows: those in the current window, or in all windows when Show tabs from is set to All windows.

The search field is in the toolbar. If you turned off Show toolbar, turn it back on to search.
